一、倍数+times+more+名词（可数，不可数）+than…

(1) He earns ten times more money than he did ten years ago. 他现在挣的钱比十年前挣的多 10倍。
(2) There are twice more students in our class than in theirs. 我们班的学生人数比他们班多两倍。
(3) There are five times more books in our library than in yours.我们图书馆里的书比你们图书馆里的书多五倍。
(4) We have produced twice more oil this year than we did last year.我们今年生产的石油是去年的两倍。

二、A是B的多少倍的句型: 倍数+times as many可数名词/much+不可数名词+as…as

(1) We've produced twice as much steel this year as ten years ago. 今年生产的钢比十年前多了一倍。
【length length】(2) He has got three times as many books as his sister. 他拥有的书的数量是他妹妹的三倍。
(3) She spent half as much money as you. 她花掉的钱只有你花掉的一半。
(4) There is four times as much water in this pot as in that one.
(5) There are six times as many students as we expected.
(6) He earns twice as much as he used to. 他比往常多赚二倍的钱。

需要时还可以在倍数词前，加over，more than等表示“是……的多少倍还要多” 。

(7) China is more than ten times as rich as it used to be 40 years ago. 中国的财富是过去40年的10倍还不止。
(8) My car is more than twice as expensive as hers. 我的车是她的两倍贵还不止。
(9) He studies more than three times as hard as I. 他用功的程度是我的三倍还不止。
(10) He has collected more than three times as many stamps as I .他搜集的邮票是我的三倍还不止。

三、 …times+that of+被比对象，表示“是……倍”

(1) The cotton output in Xinjiang is three times over that of 1987.
(2) Last year the output value of industry was 50 percent higher than that of 1978. 去年工业产值比 1978 年增长了 50 ％。
(3) In this workshop，the output of July was 4.5 times that of January.

四、 …times+compared with +被比对象...by +倍数词

(1) The number of the students in our school has increased 4 times compared with 2008.我们学校的学生人数比2008年增加了三倍。
(2) Compared with last year，our coal output has increased by three times. 与去年相比，我们的煤产量增长了 3 倍。(使用by...)
(3) The number of the students in our school has increased four times compared with 1980.我们学校的学生人数比 1980 年增加了 3 倍。(使用 compared with)
(4) His speed is faster than mine by four times.他的速度比我的快 4 倍。
(5) The production of steel has been increased to three times compared with last year. 钢铁的产量比去年增加了两倍。

五、表示特定的倍数: again (一倍),two-fold，twice, double (两倍), triple (三倍), fourfold (四倍) 等。

(1) My Aunt is as old again as I am. 我姑姑的年龄比我大一倍。
She has as much again experience as I.她的经验比我的多一倍。
(2) The top-brand clothes are often sold as double the normal price here. 售价经常比正常的售价高一倍。
(3) The new work procedure tripled the output. 新工艺使产量增加两倍。
(4) The output of grain increased fourfold. 粮食产量增加了三倍。

六、…times+what+从句
The production is now three times what it was ten years ago.

七、“A比B增加……倍”: 倍数+times over+被比对象
The price of TVs are two fold down over these years.近几年来，电视机的价格下降了两倍。

八、表示“A正好是B的多少倍”: 句型“倍数+as+形容词或副词的原级+as+从句(省略句)”
