The human expedition started from the continent, then to the sea and the stars. They, tens of thousands of miles apart, have not seen each other, but are regarded as homologous.
This is the most mysterious migration in human history.
Where did they come from? And why?
Cultural Kaleidoscope travels back to 6,000 years ago, to Pingtan where Pangaea rifted apart to form the sea, and finds the missing puzzle to The Mystery of the Austronesian Origin.

The Root-Seeking Journey of the Austronesian
壳丘头遗址
位于平潭南垄村
是福建省迄今发现最早的新石器时代遗址
距今5590～7450年
这里出土了石器、骨器、玉器、贝器、陶器等遗物
代表着闽台地区新石器时代的早期文化
2004年
福建博物院与夏威夷大学人类学系、夏威夷毕士普博物馆合作
开展了关于“东南史前航海术和南岛语族”的课题研究
诸多迹象表明，早在6000多年前
这里就是平潭先民繁衍生息之地
The Keqiutou Relics, located in Nanlong Village, Pingtan, is the earliest Neolithic site unearthed in Fujian Province to date, dating back to 5,590 to 7,450 years ago.
Stoneware, bone implements, jade ware, shell artifacts, pottery and other relics were unearthed here, hinting at the Early Neolithic culture in Fujian and Taiwan.
In 2004, the Fujian Museum, in cooperation with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Hawaii and the Bishop Museum of Hawaii, carried out research on the Southeast Prehistoric Seacraft and the Austronesian.
Numerous evidence indicates that Keqiutou was the place where the ancestors of Pingtan resided and thrived over 6,000 years ago.
