ground我们普遍知道主要指“土地、地面”等意思，作名词很常见，而标题里这个ground像是做动词，后面又说航班怎么怎么了，乍一看还有些不好理解整句话含义。

如果再看报道的内文，会发现提到了：
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in the provincial capital of Guangzhou cancelled 37 flights and delayed 23 outbound flights on Tuesday.

也就是暴雨导致广州白云机场有几十架航班取消或延误。这样一来，标题中的ground就有线索了，再查剑桥字典，确实它有“禁止…飞行；使停飞”之意。其实可理解为与ground（地面）有关，动词意味着“困在地面了” 。
